Once again, another article I’ve seen about a protester or political “activist” crossing the line when it comes to behavior.  Spitting in someone’s face? Really!?

It isn’t just one side of the political spectrum that acts this way, it’s both sides and it seems to happen often; although I’d like to think my “side” doesn’t act with such inappropriate behavior, that wouldn’t be true.

I sincerely just want to reach out to anyone on either side of the political spectrum that’s reading this.  Please don’t cross that line and become “that guy” who acted inappropriately.  There’s no need for spitting, cursing at others, hitting, pushing, shoving, fighting, violence, inappropriate signs, throwing, bad mouthing, etc….it’s just simply unneccessary and you only delegitimize yourself and others around you.  BE AN EXAMPLE of GOOD behavior and talk with love behind your words. “Peaceful protest” is exactly what should be happening not hateful protest.  Just because you don’t agree with someone doesn’t mean you need to cross that line over to the dark side of inappropriate behavior.  Again, it does you no good and I hope none of my readers ever act in such a manner.  When you act with respect and politeness to others, I think you’ll find you’re more positively looked at by others, and besides, it’s the right thing to do.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” – MLK Jr.

The more and more I see the title of this post, “Be An Example”, I see how stupid it is.  You are ALWAYS an example, no matter what you’re doing someone is looking at you as an example of whatever you represent.  So the key is to be a positive example and to represent whatever your cause is with honor. Don’t let a good cause go down in flames just because one guy acted wrong… and don’t be that guy.

You are an example to others, be a shining light in the darkness.  God Bless.
